On Wednesday we fought our way through hail, snow, and freezing temperatures to the Department of Homeland Security. It seems as though the weather kept almost everyone away because we were the only ones in line, and were in and out within a half hour! YAY! This was the last piece required to send in with our dossier, so as soon as the approval notice arrives we will send that in and our dossier is off to Ethiopia. Then comes the court date when we get to travel and meet our baby girl!!! Lots of people have been asking if we will get to bring her home with us during this trip, and sadly, the answer is no. After our court date (if we pass the first time) we will have to come home and wait for her visa to be processed, and then we will have her escorted home. This should happen about 8 weeks after we pass court.
Deborah continues to grow and thrive! We were sent a video of her last week. Although it was very short (12 seconds), it was great to see her smiling face in "live action"! What a little JOY!
We area also expecting her to receive her "Welcome Bag" this week! I can hardly wait to see those pictures!
The process continues to move ahead smoothly for us, and I give God all the glory! It really seems to us that he is working everything out, and has his hand in this whole thing!
