There is not a whole lot of new news or anything, but we did get a pretty fun e-mail today! The title of the e-mail was Deborah Lyons. It made me tear up a little to see her name with our family name. It was from the adoption coordinator, and was telling us that our post placement agreement for Deborah was on it's way! Although this is nothing "official" having to do with referrals or anything like that, it is still one more step closer to getting our baby girl home!
As of yesterday, the MOWA is requesting the fingerprinting and all that to be completed and sent in with the dossier. This will slow things up by a couple weeks, but nothing too major.
So now we wait for our fingerprinting appointment, and then approximately two weeks later all of our paperwork will be ready to ship to Ethiopia to get approved for a court date.
Hopefully we will be able to send over our welcome bag soon, and she can proudly wear her new family t-shirt, and show everyone that she is a LYONS. The welcome bag will also include two small toys (one, of course, will be a doll I made especially for her), and a photo album of her new family! The nannies will take pictures of her opening it. :)
Waiting is hard, but it's exciting to see the progress we are making, and to think that every step gets up that much closer to bringing our little joy home!
Yay! Do you have to go some place specific for the fingerprinting? We were able to just walk into the Bothell PD an tell them it was for adoption and they did it on the spot. We also found a walk-in private place in Bellevue!
